there are no names which we will mention in this issue more distinguished of better known than that of Kellner; Kellnersville, this county, was founded by Mr M Kellner in 1846, so it will be seen he was one of the very earliest settlers of the county; his death took place in 1890, since when the business has been conducted by his sons John and Michael; they have extensive interests at Kelnersville, including a 50 barrel flour mill, general store, saloon, hotel, cheese factory and a farm of 380 acres; the branch here which was opened in 1884 is uded for distributing purposes for their large wholesale requires retail trade; to con duct this business requires 30 employees and 8 teams; the firm has a private telephone line some 14 miles in length connecting the branch here with Kellnersville; this represents one of the largest enterprises in the county and it is managed in a vigorous and modern manner; the firm manufactures wholesale and retail flour and feed principally and the brands made by them: Cream of Wheat patent, "Straight" and rye are in popular demand and find a ready sale both in the home and other markets, and the policy of the house is to keep fully abreast of the times in every department of the business
