Description
16 year old son of August Fanslav, had a 12" cannon and was loading it. Had the cannon between his legs and was using a hammer and ramrod to get the powder in when the cannon exploded and his legs were cut severely. Doctor Abey was called. Pull from his legs was much material as well as a piece of the cannon, about 2" long from one and a piece from the other. Doctor Abey tried to keep limbs for the boy but the outcome is undetermined.
